Parents must attend the first night's class. Must sign up for class on the DNR's website only. Pay the $10 class fee per student the first night.

Members of the Plymouth Snow Rangers Class is free. You may join the Snow Rangers first night if you wish.

Age Requirements
The Current Wisconsin Snowmobile Regulations require that anyone born after Jan. 1st 1985 must complete a Snowmobile Safety Certification class.
There is no minimum are requirement to attend snowmobile safety class, all ages are welcome to attend.
Parents are encouraged to join their children in taking the safety class.

PROGRAMS OBJECTIVE
To prevent snowmobile accidents and improve the quality of recreational snowmobiling by teaching the safe operation and handling of snowmobiles, the understanding, respect and need for safe snowmobiling and it's related laws and to teach snowmobile operators an understanding and respect for the environment and other peoples' rights.
COURSE CONTENT
The snowmobile safety course consists of a basic six hours of instruction in the principles of snowmobile safety. Six hours of classroom study are spent in gaining a knowledge of the snowmobile laws, snowmobile related laws, snowmobiling terms, safe snowmobile operation and awareness of hazards and the snowmobile's responsibility to himself, other snowmobile’s, the environment another people's rights.
ELIGIBILITY AND FEE
All ages are welcome, including adults. The course fee of $10.00 covers the cost of students' workbooks, training aids, and administrative costs. The Plymouth Snow Ranger’s Snowmobile Club will pay the course fee of any student whose family is a member of our club. Club membership is $25.00 a family.

The Plymouth Snow Ranger's would be pleased to have someone from your family enrolled in the Snowmobile Safety Certification Class for this year. The objective of the course is to prevent snowmobile accidents, and improve the quality of recreational snowmobiling by teaching safe operation and handling of snowmobiles; to teach understanding, respect, and the need for safe snowmobiling and snowmobile-related laws.

Wisconsin law now require that anyone born after Jan. 1st 1985 must complete a Snowmobile Safety Certification class. Graduates will receive a distinctive embroidered patch, and a snowmobile safety certificate. Further laws changes
Wisconsin law also requires that you, as a snowmobiler must receive permission from every private land owner, every time you cross their land on a snowmobile. Because of the efforts of the Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs and the local clubs in this area, you have this permission if you belong to a snowmobile club. If you do not belong to a club and are unfunded riding on the trails, you are trespassing. The only place you can ride without land owner permission is on public funded trails such as the Kettle Marine State Forest trails, the Old Plank Road Trail, or public lakes. But getting to these areas normally requires you to travel over some private land.
We ask that you join a local snowmobile club, any club, for you safety, and the continual enjoyment of snowmobiling. Because of our community service and efforts we feel that the Snow Ranger’s are the best club in the area. We are currently marking, brushing, and grooming trails in the Plymouth area, and we also contract out to do trail grooming for Cascade and. We are the only snowmobile club to run a GNSS sanctioned race by themselves, this is our major fund raiser.
The Snow Ranger’s are proud to have presented these safety classes every year since 1972.
Again we would like you to join our club, if not ours, please join a club in your area. Family membership in the Snow Ranger’s for one year is $25.00 which also includes membership in the Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs.
